Téjeur Jama (Coco)

Téjeur Jama (Coco) is a piece of music which is originated from a (partly lucid)dream. I had this dream on 24th of July 2021 while on holidays in Italy, Lago Lugano. The word “Téjeur Jama” just organically occured to me, during my dream. It is a compleet fantasy word, I looked it up but couldn’t find it anywhere on the worldwideweb.

Anyway, the dream went as follows (summarised).
I dreamed that me and my younger brother were appointed “Téjeur Jama”, a kind of title with which we were immediately one of the gurus, somewhere in India: members of a spiritual world-famous order of shamans and healers (kind of Sai Baba style).

Apart from India, the origin of the “Téjeur Jama” also lies in Ille la Réunion. It’s somehow rooted, connected with this island too.

Next scene in the dream was a setting on a stage, performance (or “gift” in burningman-language) somewhere in The Hague, near the dunes. Near the water tower or barracks at “Little Switzerland”. We were situated amid a backdrop of terrorist threat, attack. We had just escaped just in time from the previous riots and attack. I was in a blended psychological battle of police, Peter R. de Vries, services, Nyenrode and musicianship.

Our first guitar-teacher and flamenco-player Ad Katée also appeared in this dream. As a speaker. His technique failed at a certain moment.

He faltered, his voice faltered at the right moment:
“Determine, determine, determine, determine, Buddhah, Buddhah…”
resonating with full delay effect, through the surrounding premises and nature.

At a certain moment my brother tuned in and said to me: “you promised us we would be safe. How? By sitting here openly on a xxxx-ing stage?

Then I calmed him down and spoke: “this is part of the strategy…”.
My people know about it…”.

Okay do far this lucid-dream kind of a story. And then what about “Coco”?

Who is this fine little cat?
Coco was the lovely little one-year-young cat(see profile pic of this track), british short hair, very smart “Pew Pew Madafakas” cat, of travelmate Appie.

Malheuresement this fine little magic, spiritual cat passed away on June the third 2021, somewhere in Leiden, on the street, on the same day as the dream.

Coco was found mysteriously far from home, in a street she would absolutely never come by herself. So the cause of her death is quite a mystery actually…

For me the mystery of the above mentioned dream combined with the mystery of the inexplainable loss of Coco was the foundation of inspiration to create & produce this little piece of instrumental music.

With special thanks to mister Andor van Reeven (The Hague), for the (partly)Editing, Mixing & Mastering (resonating 70’s sound thanks to his “Revox A-77 Stereo Taperecorder”, tape cabinet which was run through the MasteringProcess ao). Without him this piece of music wouldn’t have the touch & feel & sound & resonation and high fidelity it simply deserves. I would recommend his services to any musician or producer and I am grateful that I know him through mister “guitarman” Adrian Voogd (Flamenco guitarist & Vai fan amongst others).

With resonating blessings to you and your beloved ones,
Marnix.
